Water-washable resin Prof. Lab Resin Water Washable Black is specially developed for SLA/LCD 3D printers (405 nm) and users who want maximum print quality and at the same time comfortable cleaning without IPA. Thanks to its white, opaque color, it is perfect for prototypes, figurines, architectural models and parts intended for painting.

Main advantages

• Water-washable – after printing, it is enough to rinse the parts in water, there is no need to use isopropyl alcohol.
• High detail resolution – sharp edges, fine structures and minimal loss of detail even on small models.
• Matte white, opaque surface – ideal for visual inspection of details, painting and further surface finishing.
• Lower odor compared to classic resins – more comfortable work in a workshop or home office (still always use ventilation).
• Good strength and rigidity – suitable for functional prototypes, models, figurines and presentation parts.

Printing recommendations

Specific values may vary depending on the printer, layer height and conditions – always perform a test calibration print.

• UV wavelength: 405 nm
• Recommended layer height: 0,025–0,05 mm for detailed models, 0,05–0,1 mm for larger parts
• Exposure time (standard monochrome display):
  • regular layers: approximately 2–3,5 s
  • bottom layers: 20–35 s (4–8 layers)
• Ambient temperature: 20–28 °C for stable results

Post-processing

1. Rinsing after printing – rinse the freshly printed model in clean water (preferably in a dedicated container or in a washer for resin models).
2. Water replacement – change the water regularly, do not leave resin settled in it for a long time.
3. Drying and second rinse – after the initial rinse, you can perform a second short rinse in clean water for a better surface.
4. Air drying – let the model drip off and dry.
5. Post-curing – cure in a UV chamber or under a UV light depending on the size of the model (usually 5–15 minutes).

Do not pour used water down the drain. Leave it in the light so that the dispersed resin can cure, and then dispose of it according to local legislation as waste containing plastic.

Safety

• Always use protective gloves and ideally also safety glasses.
• Work in a well-ventilated area and avoid contact with skin and eyes.
• Store in darkness and at room temperature, out of reach of children and pets.
