Product description

Prof. Lab Resin Standard Blue – standard blue resin for 3D printing

Prof. Lab Resin Standard Blue is a universal UV resin designed for desktop LCD and DLP 3D printers. It combines high surface quality, reliable printing and easy post-processing, which makes it a great choice for hobby and professional use in laboratories, model making, prototyping and education.

Main advantages

  • High resolution and sharp details – ideal for miniatures, figurines, dental/study models and precise prototypes.
  • Universal use – standard mechanical properties suitable for a wide range of applications.
  • Short exposure times – optimized for common LCD printers (Mono LCD) with a wavelength of 405 nm.
  • Smooth surface of prints – less sanding and faster final finishing.
  • Easy cleaning – models can be cleaned in isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or special resin cleaning solutions.
  • Stable color rendering – deep blue color with good detail readability.

Typical applications

  • visual prototypes and design models
  • architectural and technical models
  • figurines, miniatures, board games
  • educational and demonstration models in laboratories and schools

Standard resin is intended mainly for visual and lightly mechanically loaded parts. For parts exposed to long-term stress, bending or impact, it is advisable to choose tough/flex resins.

Printing recommendations

  • Light wavelength: 405 nm
  • Printer type: LCD / DLP resin printer
  • Exposure time (approximate):
    • first layers: 25–40 s (depending on display power and adhesion to the build plate)
    • normal layers: 1.5–3 s on mono LCD (may differ depending on the specific printer)
  • Layer height: 0,025–0,1 mm

Specific print parameters may vary depending on the printer model, UV source power and environment. We always recommend performing a test calibration print.

Post-processing

  1. Let excess resin drip off after removing the model from the printer.
  2. Wash the print in IPA or a special resin cleaner (manually or in a washing machine for resin prints).
  3. After drying, post-cure in a UV chamber (approx. 5–15 minutes depending on the UV lamp power and part size).
  4. Optional sanding, filling and painting with standard acrylic paints.

Safety and storage

  • Work with gloves and, if necessary, with eye protection.
  • Ensure a ventilated workspace.
  • Prevent contact of resin with skin and eyes; in case of contamination, rinse with water and soap.
  • Store in the original, well-closed bottle, out of reach of children and direct sunlight.
  • Store at a temperature of approx. 15–30 °C, do not freeze.

Key features and benefits for the e‑shop customer

  • Standard resin for everyday printing – the ideal first choice for most projects.
  • Blue color – well-visible details, suitable for visual inspection and subsequent painting.
  • Compatible with most 3D printers with UV LED 405 nm.
  • Good combination of stiffness and strength for presentation and lightly functional parts.
  • Fast and reliable curing – shorter printing time.
