Product description
Product description
Professional Lab PLA Carbon Fiber Black 1kg is a composite PLA filament with carbon fiber additive, designed for professional users and demanding hobby makers. Thanks to the carbon content, it offers significantly higher rigidity and dimensional stability compared to standard PLA, while maintaining easy printing without significant warping.
Carbon fibers create a deeply matte black surface that masks the layers very well and gives prints a “technical” look. The material is suitable for producing mounts, jigs, electronics enclosures, RC parts, decorative elements or other components where a combination of low weight, rigidity and aesthetics is required.
It is recommended to use a durable nozzle (especially deformed or cheap brass nozzles may wear out quickly), because the carbon fiber has a slightly abrasive character.
Key features
- Composite PLA with carbon fiber – combines easy PLA printing with higher rigidity thanks to carbon.
- High rigidity and strength – suitable for technical and functional parts.
- Matte black surface – suppresses visible layers, looks professional.
- Low shrinkage and deformation – easy printing even on open-frame printers.
- Excellent dimensional accuracy – stable dimensions, better part fitting.
- Easy processing – printable with settings similar to standard PLA.
- Universal use – prototypes, structural components, hobby parts, decorations.
Recommended applications
- Functional prototypes and technical models
- Mounts, jigs, brackets and assembly parts
- RC models, parts for drones and robotics
- Protective and design enclosures for electronics
- Aesthetic and presentation models with a matte surface
Printing recommendations
Specific values may vary depending on the particular printer, nozzle and cooling – treat them as starting recommendations.
- Filament diameter: 1,75 mm
- Nozzle temperature: approx. 190–230 °C
- Bed temperature: approx. 25–60 °C (in many cases it is possible to print even without a heated bed)
- Recommended print speed: medium (e.g. 40–80 mm/s) according to the printer’s capabilities
- Part cooling fan: on, similar to standard PLA
- Recommended nozzle: 0,4 mm and larger, made of a more durable material (e.g. hardened steel)
To achieve the best results, it is advisable to store the filament in a dry environment (sealed box, silica gel). For longer storage in a more humid environment, it is recommended to dry the filament before printing.
