Product description

Professional Lab PETG+CF Gray 1.75 mm 1 kg

Gray composite PETG filament with carbon fibers for technical and functional parts. It combines the advantages of PETG (easy printing, toughness, less brittleness than PLA) with higher stiffness and dimensional stability thanks to the addition of carbon fibers.

Main features

  • Material: PETG with carbon fiber (Carbon Fiber) admixture
  • Color: neutral gray – universal technical look
  • Filament diameter: 1.75 mm
  • Spool weight: 1 kg
  • Surface type: matte, finely textured – hides layers very well
  • Usage: technical parts, functional prototypes, brackets, jigs, covers, mechanically stressed parts

Advantages of PETG+CF Professional Lab

  • Higher stiffness and strength compared to standard PETG – suitable for parts that must not deform.
  • Excellent dimensional stability – reduced warping and shrinkage, stable dimensions even for larger prints.
  • Matte, professional surface – prints look "technical" and feel very clean, layers are less visible.
  • Good thermal resistance – suitable for parts working at elevated temperatures (e.g., in vehicle interiors, near engines and equipment).
  • Still easy-to-print PETG – compared to other technical materials (e.g., nylon, PC), printing is easier and less prone to deformation.

Warning: carbon fibers are abrasive. For long-term printing, it is necessary to use a hardened steel, toughened or otherwise reinforced nozzle, not a standard brass one.

Recommended printing parameters

Parameter Recommended value*
Nozzle temperature approx. 240–270 °C
Bed temperature approx. 70–90 °C
Printing speed medium (e.g., 40–80 mm/s)
Enclosed chamber not required, but helps with larger parts
Cooling low to medium depending on geometry

* Specific settings may vary by printer, hotend, nozzle, and environmental conditions. We always recommend printing a small test model and fine-tuning the parameters.

Typical use

  • Functional prototypes and mechanical parts – brackets, covers, mounts, hinges, levers, parts for hobby machines and tools.
  • Technical and industrial applications – jigs, assembly aids, parts with higher stress.
  • Automotive and RC – car interior components, electronics mounts, parts for RC models.
  • Aesthetic technical models – where a matte, professional look without distinct layers is important.

Recommendations for successful printing

  • Use a hardened / toughened nozzle (ideally 0.4–0.6 mm) due to the abrasiveness of carbon fibers.
  • Store filament in a dry place – although PETG is generally not extremely hygroscopic, drier filament always helps surface quality.
  • For larger parts, choose a lower printing speed and higher bed temperature for better adhesion.
  • For a perfect surface appearance, it is worth fine-tuning retractions and flow and possibly reducing layer height.

Summary

Professional Lab PETG+CF Gray is a reliable technical filament for users who need a combination of:

  • increased stiffness and strength,
  • good dimensional accuracy and stability,
  • friendly printability of PETG,
  • matte, professional look in neutral gray color.

A great choice for more advanced hobby users, small workshops, and semi-professional operations where it is necessary to print durable, functional parts with a high-quality surface.

Key features:

  • Composite PETG filament enriched with carbon fibers for higher strength and stiffness
  • Neutral gray color with a matte technical look that masks layers well
  • High dimensional stability and less warping than regular PETG
  • Suitable for functional, mechanically stressed, and technical parts
  • Good thermal resistance compared to standard PETG
  • Easier printing than many other technical materials (PA, PC, etc.)
  • Ideal for use with a hardened or toughened nozzle on FDM 3D printers
