Product description

Prof. Lab PETG Purple (purple) 1 kg

Prof. Lab PETG Purple is a high-quality PETG filament in an attractive purple color intended for users who are looking for a reliable material for everyday 3D printing. PETG combines strength and heat resistance close to ABS with ease of printing similar to PLA, making it suitable for both beginners and advanced users.

Thanks to good interlayer adhesion and limited shrinkage, the filament is ideal for functional parts, stressed components, technical prototypes, jigs, holders, electronic enclosures, and aesthetic models where the rich purple color stands out.

Main advantages and properties

  • Universal PETG for everyday use – suitable for hobby and professional 3D printing
  • Rich purple (Purple) – striking color for design and functional prints
  • High toughness and strength – suitable for mechanically stressed parts
  • Better heat resistance than PLA – suitable for parts used in warmer environments
  • Low shrinkage and minimal warping – easier printing of larger objects
  • Good bed adhesion – with a suitable surface (glass, textured sheet, PEI, BuildTak, etc.)
  • Diameter 1,75 mm – compatible with most modern FDM/FFF 3D printers
  • 1 kg winding – ideal ratio of price to material quantity

Recommended applications

  • functional and technical parts
  • electronics enclosures and holders
  • mechanical prototypes and assembly jigs
  • decorations, design models, and cosplay parts
  • parts requiring higher impact and temperature resistance than PLA

Recommended printing parameters

Specific settings may vary depending on the printer type, hotend, and cooling. The values below serve as initial settings.

  • Nozzle temperature: 230–250 °C
  • Bed temperature: 70–80 °C
  • Print speed: approx. 30–60 mm/s
  • Cooling: 30–70 % (depending on part geometry – more for bridges and small details, less for thick-walled parts)
  • Bed surface: glass, PEI, textured sheet, BuildTak or another surface intended for PETG

For best results, we recommend drying the spool before printing (e.g. 60–70 °C for several hours), because PETG is a material sensitive to moisture.

Tips for successful PETG printing

  • With too small a nozzle distance from the bed, PETG can adhere very strongly – it is recommended to slightly increase the Z-offset compared to PLA.
  • To reduce stringing, tuning retraction, higher travel speed, and possibly a slight reduction in printing temperature will help.
  • When printing larger objects, it is advisable to reduce flow or speed to prevent the material from overheating in the nozzle.

Compatibility

The Prof. Lab PETG Purple (purple) filament is suitable for all common FDM/FFF 3D printers that support PETG and 1,75 mm diameter, for example:

  • Prusa, Creality, Anycubic, Artillery, Bambu Lab, Ender, Voron, and others

Summary

Prof. Lab PETG Purple (purple) 1 kg is a reliable, universal PETG filament in an attractive purple color that offers a good combination of strength, toughness, and printability. It is a great choice for anyone looking for a material for functional and aesthetic prints that have to withstand some stress and still look good.
