Product description
Prof. Lab PETG Oak (oak) 1 kg
The professional PETG filament Prof. Lab PETG Oak (oak) is designed for reliable 3D printing of functional parts and aesthetic models with a color inspired by oak wood (oak). Thanks to the properties of PETG, it combines excellent mechanical resistance, thermal stability and relatively easy printing, which makes it a great choice for home users as well as professional workshops.
Main advantages of PETG material
- Higher strength and toughness than PLA – less brittle, better resists impacts and long-term stress.
- Better heat resistance than PLA – suitable for parts used in warmer environments (typically around 70–80 °C with proper part design).
- Good chemical resistance – suitable for parts in contact with humidity, water or common chemicals.
- Low shrinkage – fewer deformations and warping compared to ABS, no heated chamber required.
- Good layer adhesion – strong, compact prints.
Appearance and use of the Oak (oak) shade
The shade Oak (oak) resembles the color of oak wood, which is ideal for:
- decorative elements and home accessories
- furniture models, architectural mock-ups
- handles, holders, covers and frames with a “wooden” look
- props, cosplay, design prototypes
Although this is a solid PETG without actual wood fibers, the color makes it suitable wherever you want to combine the technical properties of PETG with the visual impression of wood.
Recommended print settings
Specific values may vary depending on the printer, nozzle and conditions; recommended starting settings for PETG:
- Nozzle temperature: approx. 220–245 °C
- Bed temperature: approx. 75–90 °C
- Print speed: 40–70 mm/s
- Cooling: 30–70 % (enable after the first layers)
- Build surface: PEI, glass (glue / spray recommended for better adhesion)
PETG tends to be more sensitive to moisture, therefore it is recommended to store the spool in a dry place and, if necessary, dry the filament before printing.
Typical applications
- functional and mechanically stressed components
- technical parts, holders, mounts, covers
- outdoor use (thanks to better resistance to UV and moisture than PLA)
- design and decorative objects in oak wood color
Compatibility
The filament is suitable for most desktop FDM/FFF 3D printers that use filament with a diameter of 1,75 mm and support printing with PETG.
