Product description

Prof. Lab PETG Grey 3 kg

Prof. Lab PETG Grey is a high-quality technical filament that combines the strength and durability of ABS with the printing comfort of PLA. Thanks to its gray shade, it is ideal for prototypes, functional parts, mechanical components, holders, covers, and technical models where a professional neutral look without reflections is important. PETG material (polyethylene terephthalate glycol) excels in high toughness, low brittleness, resistance to moisture and chemicals. Prof. Lab filament is manufactured with a precise diameter tolerance of ±0.03 mm, ensuring stable material flow and minimizing the risk of nozzle clogging or fluctuations in the width of the extruded path.

Main advantages of Prof. Lab PETG Grey

  • Very good strength and toughness – suitable for stressed functional parts
  • Excellent chemical and moisture resistance – ideal for parts in demanding environments
  • Easy printing similar to PLA – prints well even on standard desktop 3D printers
  • High winding quality and constant diameter – 1.75 mm diameter with ±0.03 mm tolerance
  • Neutral gray color (Cool Gray shade) – suitable for technical prototypes and visually clean models
  • Compatible with most FDM/FFF printers – standard spool and diameter

Recommended use

Prof. Lab PETG Grey 3 kg is particularly suitable for:
  • Functional mechanical parts, holders, grips, brackets
  • Structural and functional prototypes
  • Electronics covers, boxes, technical models
  • Parts for outdoor use, where higher resistance than PLA is required
  • Components exposed to moisture or common chemicals (cleaning agents, etc.)
Thanks to the 3 kg packaging, the filament is also suitable for long print jobs and serial production, where continuous printing without frequent spool changes is a major advantage.

Printing parameters

  • Filament diameter: 1.75 mm
  • Diameter tolerance: ±0.03 mm
  • Recommended nozzle temperature: 220–250 °C
  • Recommended bed temperature: 95–110 °C
  • Bed: ideally heated, glass/PEI/buildplate with appropriate adhesive
For optimal first layer adhesion, a clean and degreased bed surface is recommended, and possibly the use of a suitable adhesive (glue stick, spray, special adhesive surface). For larger parts, a brim or raft can help reduce corner warping.

Compatibility

Prof. Lab PETG filament is compatible with most common FDM/FFF 3D printers that support PETG printing and a 1.75 mm filament diameter, for example:
  • Creality, Prusa, Anycubic, Artillery, Ultimaker (with corresponding hotend), Ender and others
Standard spool with a diameter of approx. 195 mm and a 75 mm hole is suitable for most spool holders.

Logistics and packaging

  • Filament weight: 3 kg
  • Material: PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol)
  • Manufacturer: Imagine s.c., brand Prof. Lab
  • The filament is usually delivered in a sealed protective package, storage in a dry place is recommended – ideally in a resealable bag with desiccant.
